Created by Steve Jackson Games

Ogrezine is back for a second collection of Ogre articles curated by line editor Drew Metzger.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

A Healthy Debate
over 7 years ago – Fri, Nov 30, 2018 at 01:23:08 AM

Fourth Article

The Superheavy Tank has generated plenty of debate and discourse over the years among Ogre fans. Love it, hate it, modify it; there are no lack of opinions regarding this unit. Karl Gallagher has taken the time to both pull together the history of the SHVY as well as provide an analysis of the prevailing theories on how to "fix" it in his submission, "The Superheavy Controversy". Please enjoy his article for Ogrezine II and join the discussion on our forums.

Battlefields

There is this little project we've been working on called Battlefields. No biggie; just a little something to pass the time. I'm sure it is inconsequential to most of you, and I understand that, but for the three or four of you that might have a passing interest, you might want to check out our Kickstarter scheduled for next week. Just sayin' . . .

Other Ogre Goodies

We are in the process of organizing and processing the materials for Ogre Miniatures, Second Edition and the Playmats are not too far behind. Expect to see an Update regarding shipping of those items in the relatively near future. Also, The Ogre Book and GURPS Ogre are now available as physical products. Check them out with the rest of our POD library.

Holiday Sale

Our annual Warehouse 23 Holiday Sale is in full swing over on . . . uh . . . Warehouse 23. You can find all sorts of Ogre items for 23% off plus lots of other SJ Games titles for up to 75% off. If that's not incentive enough to check it out, we will give you stuff depending upon your haul. Details may be found here.

Dress for the Season

With the holidays descending upon us, it is important to look your best for family and friends. And what says "cheer" better than an Ogre T-shirt? Available in a number of colors, and in styles for both men and women, you don't want to miss out on this fashion trend-setter.

Stay tuned for more Ogre!

Playmat Update, Bullet Dice, and the Warehouse 23 Holiday Sale
over 7 years ago – Fri, Nov 23, 2018 at 08:30:58 PM

Good news! We're expecting the M1 reprint, as well as the first printings of M2 and M3, in our Austin offices by December 5th or so. At that time, we'll have everything we need to start shipping out physical rewards; with luck, many of you will start seeing your physical rewards by December 12th. We'll post an update when the playmats arrive.

Bullet Dice

In the "this isn't related, but some of you will be interested" camp, our upcoming Bullet Dice project is completing production at the factory. These custom six-sided dice are being offered in a set of six, and we're sure that many wargamers -- and Ogre players! -- will want to grab a pack of these special dice.

Warehouse 23 Holiday Sale

One last bit of news for today. The Warehouse 23 holiday sale is now active, with some titles up to 75% off for the holidays. And in addition to discounts, we've also got bonuses to pack into orders! Find all of the details here.

Enjoy the holiday weekend, gang! And if you're outside of the U.S., please take time to play a game or two with your friends. Everyone needs a break from the realities of life from time to time.

And then there were three!
over 7 years ago – Fri, Nov 16, 2018 at 12:07:19 AM

We have posted the third article for Ogrezine II. Stephan Beal understands the sense of helplessness an inexperienced painter might feel when contemplating the pile of plastic that represents all of the minis from Battle Box. He leads us by the hand in "Painting Infantry: Boot Camp," along a path that even the most inept of us (i.e., me!) might follow. Enjoy!

Playmat Proofs Arrived!
over 7 years ago – Tue, Nov 06, 2018 at 11:50:41 PM

The samples arrived this week and we're happy to report that we're on schedule to deliver all of the physical rewards next month. More news to come!

As we've reported in the past, the playmat printing process is not an exact science. This is about the best you can hope for when attempting to geomorph playmats together.

Where, oh where, art thou?
over 7 years ago – Tue, Oct 30, 2018 at 12:11:11 AM

For all of you that have completed your surveys, thank you very much! The majority of you have responded and we appreciate it. That said, we have 58 backers that have not completed their BackerKit. Have I said something to upset you? If so, I apologize! PLEASE complete your surveys ASAP or we will be forced to remove you from the project and refund your pledge. No one wants that, so please respond to your survey now.

I will wait. Go do it now.

Seriously. This is more important. We will be here when you return.

All good? Excellent!

Ogrezine II is shaping up wonderfully. I have so many great submissions that I've already earmarked a few for (an entirely theoretical and no promises) Ogrezine III. We have so many great options that even though we promised 11 articles, I'm considering publishing 12. That said, I would love see more artistic submissions. I have a few great ones, but I know there is more talent out there. Show me your creations!

Thank you for your support. Long live Ogre!
